Dr. Tom McKenzie

Tom McKenzie studierte Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn und promovierte an der Universität zu Köln zum Thema „Obligatorische und freiwillige Beiträge an öffentliche Güter“. Seine Forschungsmethoden umfassen sowohl mikroökonomische Theorie als auch ökonometrische Datenanalyse und die Gestaltung von Laborexperimenten.

Tom war Forschungsbeauftragter am Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy (City, University of London) und hat Volkswirtschaftslehre an der University of Dundee (Schottland), an der Antalya Bilim Üniversitesi (Türkei) sowie an der CBS International Business School (Deutschland) unterrichtet. Er ist Honorarforschungsbeauftragter an der University of Dundee und Economics Editor (ehrenamtlich) bei INOMICS in Berlin. Seit April 2024 ist er als Research Consultant am FiFo Köln beschäftigt.

Tom McKenzie studied economics at the University of Bonn and obtained his doctorate from the University of Cologne on the topic of “Compulsory and Voluntary Contributions to Public Goods”. His research methods include microeconomic theory, econometric data analysis and the design of economics experiments.

Tom was a research fellow at the Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy (City, University of London) and taught economics at the University of Dundee (Scotland), Antalya Bilim Üniversitesi (Türkiye) and CBS International Business School (Germany). He is an honorary research fellow at the University of Dundee and Economics Editor for INOMICS in Berlin. He joined FiFo Institute for Public Economics as a Research Consultant in April 2024.
